Camping & Diving
Camping & Diving in Ras Mohammed – Marsa Bareika
Sleep beside the Red Sea. Wake up and dive straight in.
This overnight trip takes you out of the resort bubble and into Ras Mohammed National Park — Egypt's most protected marine reserve. You'll camp Bedouin-style at Marsa Bareika, one of the quietest bays in Sinai, and spend your time diving reefs that most visitors never reach.
No boat schedules. No crowds. Just desert, stars, and world-class diving.

The Experience
Shore Diving at Its Best
You'll complete multiple dives directly from the beach across the day and the following morning. The reef at Marsa Bareika rewards patience — slow down, and you'll find nudibranchs, octopus, and macro life that most divers rush past.
Our dive guide knows the site well and will brief you on the best entry points, current conditions, and what to look for on each dive.
Eco Camping Under the Stars
As the sun drops behind the mountains, the camp comes to life. There's no electricity here — and that's the point. Dinner is prepared around the campfire. The night sky over Ras Mohammed is hard to describe if you've never seen it away from city lights.
You'll sleep in a traditional Bedouin-style tent, single or double, depending on your booking. Nights in the desert can be cool, so we recommend bringing a light layer even in summer.

Who Is This Trip For?
This trip suits certified divers who want something different from the standard Sharm boat trip. It's especially popular with:
-
Underwater photographers looking for unhurried dives
-
Divers escaping the crowds of popular wreck sites
-
Couples and small groups wanting a private experience
-
Nature lovers and adventure travellers
The calm conditions and easy shore entry make Marsa Bareika accessible for recently certified divers, too — you don't need to be an experienced diver to enjoy it.
Why Marsa Bareika?
Most divers in Sharm El Sheikh never make it to Marsa Bareika. That's exactly why it's worth the drive.
The bay sits at the tip of the Sinai Peninsula, sheltered inside Ras Mohammed National Park. The water is calm year-round, the coral is healthy, and the sandy entry means divers of all levels can get in and out comfortably.
What makes it special for diving:
-
Colorful coral plateaus and steep reef walls starting from shore
-
Exceptional visibility — frequently 20–30 metres
-
Rich macro life: turtles, morays, rays, reef fish
-
Far lower diver density than boat sites in Sharm
Dive when you want. Stay down as long as your air and comfort allow. This is the kind of freedom you rarely get on a liveaboard schedule.
